About Us

Staff will create inviting and engaging activities built around the child’s interest. We encourage children to be able to freely express themselves. We ask parents to dress their child in nursery clothes, as your child will be playing with exciting materials such as mud, water, sand, cocoa powder, paint, playdough, flour. Staff encourage children to be creative and get as messy as possible and will not interrupt a child’s flow by stopping them to ask to put an apron on.

We feel that it is important for children to explore their environment in all weathers, we ask parents to provide wet suits and wellies, so the children are equipped to play outside. Children love to be outside and will not notice the weather if they are engaged in their play.

“There is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing!”

We encourage children to be able to freely design their own artwork and creations, by using real life objects to guide them. We don’t use templates or photocopied pictures for the children to colour or stick on in production factory set style. Staff will offer exciting provocations for the children to choose to explore at their own time. We want children to enjoy the process not the product.

We pride ourselves that here at Brighter Minds we offer the children a unique environment. The children have opportunities to develop their imagination and take their play further along by using open ended resources and natural materials. Children are encouraged to take appropriate risks and work through a challenge. Staff provide enticing activities, for the children to engage and develop their awe and wonder through exploration and risk taking. By removing all plastic toys, we have created a calm space that allows children to problem solve and create endless opportunities.
