How do we enrol our child with Brighter Minds?

What paperwork will we need to complete?
A child registration form, signed contract and your child’s All About Me form
How much does it cost?
Refer to the price list. Please note a place can only be secured once a £70 non-refundable joining fee has been paid.
How do I receive my invoice?
All invoices are sent via Famly app and are required to be paid in full on the date, which is within the first 2 weeks of the month.
Do you accept childcare vouchers?
Yes, we provide you with Brighter Minds details to set up a work voucher-based scheme. We also take the Government Tax Free childcare payments.
Can I only book 1 session per week, or book different sessions each week?
Unfortunately, we only offer a minimum of 2 sessions per week (either 2 days or 2 half days or 1 day and 1 half day). The sessions must be the same each week (although we maybe able to book extra sessions ad hoc if required).
Do you offer Settling In sessions?
Yes there is no cost for the sessions. We arrange a minimum of 3 sessions before your child starts, during the different times of the day. However, this is child led so if you child is unsettled we will offer more until the start date.
What are the opening times?
We are open Monday – Friday 8am until 5:50pm.
We are closed for Bank Holidays and 1 week over the Christmas period
Do the nursery charge for bank holidays?
No there is no charge for when the nursery is closed, but if you decide to take holidays you will still be required to pay for your child’s place.
What snacks will my child have?
All snacks meet the Caerphilly Gold Snack Award. We offer a wide range of healthy, varied and nutritious snacks. Children are only offered Milk or Water to drink.
My child has is allergic to dairy, can he still attend?
Yes, we cater for all children medical and dietary needs, we will offer an alternative to a dairy product.
What meals do you offer the children?
We follow a 3-week seasonal menu plan to ensure there is a variety of meals for the children to enjoy. We can cater for any children who have medical or dietary needs.
What do I need to bring for nursery?
We need to have nappies, cream and wipes. Please pack several changes of clothes, wet suit, wellies, suncream and sun hat.
Babies: Staff are happy to make up bottles, parent to bring in the formula and bottles to be stored with us.
We use cloth nappies, is this ok?
We are happy to use cloth nappies parents are required to bring the sufficient amount and bags to store soiled nappies in.
I am entitled to Flying Start funding, how will this work?
We will need to receive your eligibility code and then we can complete your child’s ICP form for a place to be offered the term after their 2nd Birthday. (If your child attends the main nursery your Flying Start funding is deducted from your monthly invoice.
I am entitled to the Childcare Offer funding, how will this work?
We can advise you about what you will need to do, but you will need to have set up a Government Gateway account and click to use Brighter Minds and book in the hours required for term time and holiday sessions.
